Hand Puppets and Finger Puppets
Puppets are a timeless form of children’s play with great educational value. They support learning, emotional development and creativity in a natural and engaging way.
They are widely used by families, teachers and educators to encourage positive habits such as bedtime routines, mealtimes or transitions, and can also act as gentle mediators in everyday conflicts.
We believe stories are a powerful tool to spark imagination and convey values, language and emotions. When combined with puppets, storytelling becomes a shared, lively and meaningful experience.
We create handcrafted puppets inspired by original stories, classroom projects and traditional characters linked to local celebrations and folklore.
Custom Figures
Bufallums figures are handcrafted using the papier-mâché technique, made from reused paper. Working with recycled materials is an essential part of our commitment to sustainability and care for the environment.
Each figure is shaped entirely by hand, without moulds, making every piece unique and full of character.
We create custom figures in different sizes: large (1 m), medium (approx. 35 cm) and small (approx. 25 cm). They are perfect for decorating spaces and shop windows, or as meaningful gifts to celebrate special moments such as birthdays, weddings, retirements, graduations or farewells.
We make puppets and dolls using the technique of paper cutting - called paper maixé -, a technique that dates back some 2,000 years.
For us, it is very important to make the pasta with used paper and create the puppets and dolls from recycled paper. Thus, we collaborate in raising awareness of recycling as a custom in which we must all get involved, if we really want to achieve a more balanced world.
It fascinates us that characters can emerge from old papers that we would throw in the blue bin, either for a story or for a new story.
Paper reuse is not a new thing.
Ancient papyrus was already used by the Egyptians in the construction of mummy boxes. They glued one layer on top of another in the same way we do when we model with paper mache.
Our way of working is entirely artisanal.
Each puppet or doll is shaped by hand without any mold and this makes them unique pieces. We like the piece to evolve in a gradual way and, therefore, let the drying of the paper follow its natural course.
Our craft consists in making puppets and dolls out of recycled paper.
We do not use any kind of mould but the pieces are handmade.
In our workshop we give life to the most funny characters and to the ideas you have. We make them to order for schools, associations and individuals.
